Jane said it’s Leap Year. Because of yesterday. So, it’s like yesterday was a Bonus Day. I wasn’t for sure what she meant but I love treats. It sounded like a treat!

She said it has to do with the seasons and the time it takes the earth to  orbit around the sun, which is about 365¼ days, give or take. That’s when I gave her one of my looks. Like this:

I asked her if we should Leap for Joy!?
She said maybe we should Take a Leap of Faith!?
Instead we decided to run around the backyard, skipping and jumping.
I’m not very good at jumping, really.
Gus is really good at it. He’s like an all-star jumper-leaper ball-catching runner dog. If dogs played basketball he’d be a super star.

And then, we decided, in celebration of Leap Year, to take a HUGE LEAP!
A leap of faith and creativity, and vulnerability and joy and everything all rolled into one. Because, after all, yesterday was a Bonus Day in the World, and so that makes it kind of magical and so maybe anything can happen if you put it into motion.

So we decided to have a party. A really big one.
An art party in the garden.
On Thursday April 28th, 2016.
And we’re going to display Jane’s art around the garden.
Working title for the party right now is
Poppies and Puppies!
We hope you’ll come. There will be food and wine and flowers and everything.
And maybe even printed copies of my blog and Jane’s art and stuff.

Come leap around the garden and dance and sing and paint with us.Or just have a glass of wine and look at the pretty flowers. Either way, we’re leaping forward to it. (hee hee).

And now I’m thinking about everything we have to do to make it happen and I’ve got that same expression on my face the way I did when she told me about that stuff about the sun and the earth and everything…

ABOUT CODY & JANE Jane Roberts and her beloved dog, Cody the Wonderful Dog, decided to team up together to show off his writing skills and her art. She says she wanted the world to hear his thoughts. And he says he wants the world to see her art. Of course, most of the art here is of him, she says, but he says that’s not the point. Either way, they think they are a great combination. Cody says, “You can see more of Jane’s art on her website at http://www.JaneRobertsArt.com” Jane says, “Thanks, Cody. And we hope you enjoy our blog.”
