About Cody & Jane

Jane Roberts and her beloved dog, Cody the Wonderful Dog, decided to team up together to show off his writing skills and her art.
She says she wanted the world to hear his thoughts.
And he says he wants the world to see her art.
Of course, most of the art here is of him, she says, but he says that’s not the point.
Either way, they think they are a great combination.

Cody says, “You can see more of Jane’s art on her website at http://www.JaneRobertsArt.com

Jane says, “Thanks, Cody. And we hope you enjoy our blog.”

Saint Gustopher Todd

My best friend Gus, the incredibly handsome and awesome-in-every-way white lab, overheard Jane and I talking about names. He was interested in all the different things she calls me besides Cody, such as Codus. Coco,.Kookaburra , Mischief, Trouble, Licorice Stick, Chocolate Cake and many other dessert type foods that don’t make much sense like Pumpkin Pie, and, of course,…

Penguins

By Conversations with CodyNo Comments

Jane’s friend Millie is watching a “captivating” documentary about Penguins. I’m pretty sure I know why she likes it so much. You know why? Because Penguins are black and have white chests. Just like ME! Except I don’t like to swim or fly or anything like that. People say that penguins can’t fly. But I think…

More Tulips?

By Conversations with CodyNo Comments

Cats get a lot of credit for being curious. But I’m more curious than most cats. And it’s a good thing. Because if  I wasn’t then today would have been the weirdest day. First of all it was pretty cold out but the sun was shining and the sky was seriously blue. I guess Jane was glad the gray…

Hugely Leaping

By Conversations with CodyNo Comments

Jane said it’s Leap Year. Because of yesterday. So, it’s like yesterday was a Bonus Day. I wasn’t for sure what she meant but I love treats. It sounded like a treat! She said it has to do with the seasons and the time it takes the earth to  orbit around the sun, which is about 365¼…

Bad Art Day

By Conversations with CodyNo Comments

Jane said she it was a Bad Art Day today. “What’s that?” I asked. She said it’s when paintings don’t go the way she planned. Or inspirations start to look like mud. Or when she really doesn’t know what she’s painting and apparently neither does her muse. Or it starts to rain too soon after…

Weekend Workshop

By Conversations with CodyNo Comments

Jane spends a lot of time thinking about stuff. Like this past weekend. She went to a workshop to think about things for 3 whole days. Don’t tell her I said so, but it’s kind of odd isn’t?  I mean, first of all, she wasn’t with me, so that is just plain ridiculous, right? Secondly, you…

Everything

By Conversations with CodyNo Comments

I told Gus that I think Jane has started to worry about what she’s going to do without me. She doesn’t say so but I can tell the way she looks surprised and relieved when she sees me some times. And we’ve been having extra long snuggle-time. He said, “Maybe she doesn’t get how this works.”…
