I wish Jane could paint the way things smell. That would be so cool and way more interesting, I think. Instead, she just paints what she sees. I mean, that’s kind of cool, but I don’t 100% get it.
She says it’s not all about seeing, but also about feeling.
I cocked my head sideways and she knew that meant Please explain more.
She said she also tries to paints how things make her feel and hopes others can “get a whiff” of that feeling, too.
Oh, I said, that IS kind of like smelling!
Jane said Yeah, it’s the same thing, really. Seeing and feeling and smelling.
“And what about tasting?” I asked. “Is it like tasting? And, more importantly, is it time for a snack?” She said it was and so we made some toast.
