Jane asked me what I think about Valentine’s Day. Here’s what I think.
I don’t eat chocolate but I Do. LOVE. Treats. Todd gives me a treat just about every time I go outside and come back in. Not really quite that much but always after breakfast and dinner. I go out and come back in a lot, just in case.
Most of what I know about love I learned from Todd. And also some from Gus and Jane and Dorothy. But mostly Todd because he’s a prince among people and even if he were a dog he would be still be a prince among dogs.
Gus says that the treats are “digestives,” but I think he is pulling my leg. I know because he always laughs a little when he says that and then runs off.
But here’s the thing about valentines. What I mean is, Todd shows me he loves me every single day.
Sometimes Todd carries me to the far back of the yard. It’s especially nice when he does that when it’s wet outside because I hate getting my belly wet from the grass. But mostly it’s just nice when he carries me because he’s tall and takes long, easy strides and the ride is fun and the view is great.
Plus, even though Gus is his favorite because he belongs to Gus and Jane belongs to me, he never carries Gus, so that’s how I know I’m the super specialist.
On Valentine’s Day you should try taking a walk to the far back of the yard. And give each other treats when you come back inside. And if the other person is extra special, carry each other.
Happy Valentine’s Day!
